To fill the gap left on Thursday evenings by 17 episodes of MasterChef SA Season 3, M-Net is flighting a 4-part mini-series ‘Feast’ from tonight onwards. Details are scant, not available yet on the M-Net website. The stars of the episodes are the three MasterChef SA Season 3 judges as well as guest celebrity Chef Marco Pierre White.
I received three paragraphs from M-Net Public Relations Manager Ingrid Engelbrecht. The media release states:
‘December in South Africa is holiday and festive time! Families come together, friends socialise and South Africans around the country are outdoors with loved ones, enjoying the summer sun. The essence of the season is all about celebrating: family and friends, the gloriousness of great food and the opportunity for fun to abound – often around fabulous feasts – and that is what M-Net’s new 4 part mini-series is all about, with one large difference… each episode is hosted by a well-known and much loved celebrity chef!
This four-part series will give viewers a look into the personal and professional lives of 4 great chefs – Reuben Riffel, Benny Masekwameng, Pete Goffe-Wood as well as one of the world’s most notorious chefs, Marco Pierre White – as the shows span over the end of December and into January 2015′.
Speaking to Chef Reuben Riffel about it, it appears that none of the four chefs have seen the episodes to be broadcast, not even their own.
Chef Pete Goffe-Wood is the star in tonight’s episode, founder of Kitchen Cowboys, and MasterChef SA judge for the past three seasons. Chef Pete will serve his friends and family his favourite Christmas meal, will share his life as a chef, will visit his favourite food suppliers, and will prepare the feast! Chef Pete’s book ‘a life digested’ has just been launched.
Chef Reuben’s ‘Feast’ will be broadcast on 1 January, Chef Marco Pierre White’s on 25 December, and Chef Benny Masekwameng’s on 8 January.
‘Feast’, M-Net. Thursdays 19h30.
